(a) Newsletter

Twice each year the Society publishes a newsletter, circulated free to members containing reports of meetings, County Representatives' reports, and contributions from members along with illustrations.
Material should be submitted to newsletter@milestonesociety.co.uk.

Back issues of newsletters are available here.

(b) Milestones & Waymarkers, incorporating On the Ground

Milestones & Waymarkers is the Journal of the Milestone Society.  This A4 magazine, free to members, is published annually in the autumn.  It includes both well-researched specialist articles and practical examples of conservation and restoration work by members, to inspire others!   Plenty of illustrations, too.

The Editor is John Nicholls (jv@milestonesociety.co.uk).

Further details of Milestones & Waymarkers may be found here.

(c) The Milestone Society Group on Facebook

All are welcome to join our Group on Facebook, 'Milestone Society'. It's an opportunity for sharing information on restoration practices and new discoveries as they happen.

(d) YouTube

We are developing a series of videos on YouTube, both amusing and serious, to help raise public awareness of milestones.

(f) Commemorative Horse Brass

The National Horse Brass Society has produced a special commemorative horse brass to celebrate the life of its late founder and president, Terry Keegan. The brass, designed by Peter Ferguson, incorporates symbols of Terry’s inspirational life.

Superimposed on the shamrock, emblem of Terry’s Dublin ancestry, are symbols of those organisations that he founded during his lifetime – The Heavy Horse Enthusiast, The National Horse Brass Society, The Cast Iron Seat Society and The Milestone Society.
